Hi My name is Elaine Horning. I feel very humbled by the people who want to help with my in laws. We love to help others in ways we can and sometimes that is by accepting help from those who want to help. We all thank you very much for helping. They were in a buggy accident on wed afternoon on their way home from grocery shopping. Ivan and Ella Horning were both life flighted to Strongs Hospital in Rochester. Both have multiple fractures, lots of bruises, cuts and scrapes. Dad will need to wear a neck brace halo, not sure what it is called, for 10 wks. Mom had surgery on her leg. femur was badly broken. The doctor described it as fragmented. They put a rod in and might have to do bone grafting in couple months. Their main concern is infection because the bone was poking out of the skin at the accident . I will try to put updates as i can. They have a long road to recovery.
