On Wednesday, April 14th, my father Willie Williamson had a massive stroke. Currently, my father is hospitalized. While he is able to hear us, he is unable to communicate back with us and is currently sleeping. He is able to use the left side of his body, while his right side will need to undergo rehabilitation.
Update 4/17/21 8:54am: Through the grace of God and all of his prayer warriors, he is now awake for longer periods of time. Before it would be for several seconds, and now it is for several minutes. He is trying to talk to the best of his ability. Day by day we are seeing the power of prayer.
My father is such a good man. He is such a wonderful father. He is the type of man that takes care of his family and puts 110% effort into everything that he does. This situation occurring has truly devasted our family and has put us in a place we would have never thought of before.
My dad has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him. It is going to take time for him to get back to where he was. My father is the sole provider of my family's household. My mother is currently unemployed due to the pandemic. For the past year, my dad has been handling all of the bills of the house. With this happening, hospitalization bills accruing, and other bills to handle, this has placed my family in a tough emotional and financial position.
First, we ask for all of the prayers possible for Mr. Willie. My father always handled anything that we ever requested. He does so much for his family. We are Christian and Faith Believers and know that prayers can change things. We are asking for all of the prayers. We want my father to have an entire army behind him praying and giving him the strength to pull through, wake up, and begin his road to recovery. Please pray for him and pray that he gets better.
If you have anything that you can donate that could go towards the hospital bills, buying items that he will need once he is able to return home, and maintaining his home, it would be greatly appreciated. With my mom being out of work and unable to find a job, any assistance to help her and my family is greatly appreciated. While my brother and I will do as much as we can, we know it is going to take a village.
Again, all prayers are needed. My father is such a strong person. Such a loving person. I know he can get through this, and with all of us praying he will be okay. Please assist and help in any way possible.
Sincerely,
Alexis Williamson and the Williamson Family
