Helping Violet Come Home and Honoring Dalton

Recently, Derek Beehler and Avery Jeska, along with big brother Bohdi, welcomed twins Violet and Dalton into the world at 25 weeks old.

Violet was born on January 28th weighing 1 pound, 10 ounces. Dalton was born shortly after, only minutes apart, on January 29th at 1 pound, 14 ounces.

The first two weeks were full of the usual preemi challenges. Doctors soon reported that Dalton had developed an intestinal infection, and then tried to remove a section of the infected intestine. Dalton passed away in mom and dad's arms on Tuesday, February 18th. His tiny hands and feet left a huge mark on his family forever.

Violet is currently stable in the NICU at the University of Minnesota Hospital. The plan is to welcome her home some time in May, which was their original due date.
