Helping Veteran Sean Fitzgerald & Family

This is my brother in law, Sean Fitzgerald.  In 2011 he joined the United States Army.  He put his own life on the line to fight for our country, everyone living here and our freedom.   In 2012  he was deployed to Afghanistan.  It was a long dark road but he eventually came home to his family. Now, at only 28 years old, he is fighting for his life, and he and his family need YOUR help.  On December 29, 2020 he called his wife to tell her he wasn't feeling well. Shortly after that his speech was muffled and he was having trouble talking. Parts of his face went numb. He was taken to Lehigh Valley hospital by ambulance.  Shortly after arriving, they took him for scans and found he was suffering from a brain hemorrhage.  The doctor then put him into an induced coma and he was taken for brain surgery.  We still don't know exactly what caused this. His blood pressure was in the 300s when he arrived so it seems like that may have led to it.  There was a lot of bleeding on his brain.  He still currently has a drain.  He is no longer heavily sedated, and they were able to remove the ventilator.  But Sean still has not been able to open his eyes, and is barely communicating.  The doctor has informed us that we have no idea what deficits there will be, but that he will never be the person he was before this.

Sean is a loving, caring, goofy, big hearted guy who would help anyone in need. He is a great son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, husband and most importantly father to 2 beautiful kids.  His wife, Laura is currently out on FMLA.  But she has to cover his health insurance while she's out of work, along with the mortgage and all the utilities and taking care of their kids.  Their daughter Maddison is 11 and  their son Bentley is 8.   They will also need help when Sean is able to come home. He will need lots of therapy and additional medical care.

I'm asking for everyone to please donate anything you can to help lighten the load on Laura's shoulders.  No one should have to worry about these things while your loved one is fighting for their life.  These are hard times for everyone right now, so if you can't spare a donation, PLEASE  share this wherever you can.
We all appreciate all the help, support, prayers and good thoughts we can get for Sean.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give!
