Helping Veronica Beat Cancer

Hello Friends and Family,

For those of you who are not aware, our beloved Veronica has been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma subtype nodular sclerosis. Veronica was given the news that the cancer is not only in her neck but in her chest, spleen, pelvis, and bone.

After sharing this devasting news with our closest family and friends, many people have asked how they can help. Veronica will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy starting next week. As many of you know, hospital bills can add up substantially over a short period of time, especially when battling a diagnosis like cancer.

During the summer of 2021, Veronica noticed that her legs were breaking out into an awful rash. This rash persisted for several months. During that time, Veronica saw many different dermatologists and was prescribed steroids. August 2021, Veronica noticed a small lymph node on her neck and saw her Primary Care Doctor. At that time, she was also prescribed antibiotics. None of the treatments seemed to help with what was thought to be an infection. Since August, the rash and lymph have persisted and grown substantially. Veronica continued to see the doctor and wasn’t given any clear answers.

On Good Friday, Veronica chose to go to the Emergency Room after family expressed great concern. On Easter Sunday, Veronica was diagnosed with Cancer. Since then, Veronica has been attending several doctors’ appointments including biopsies, PET scans, port insertion, physiology testing, ultrasounds, heart echo and much more.

Although right now it may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we are trying to focus on the rainbow that is at the end of the storm. As we all know, Veronica has been through a lot over the last several years. Currently, we are asking for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
