Help a local small business recover from Hurricane Isaias!

For exactly 10 years, Virginia Elite Gymnastics Academy (VEGA) has been a backbone of our community - building young athletes, developing our little ones, from babies to teens, hosting birthday parties, preschool events, open gyms and other community events, and serving as a refuge of fun for a host of gymnasts, ninja warriors, recreational athletes, summer campers and competition cheer athletes.

As parents in this community, we have fully entrusted the owner,  Carissa Baldwin, and her top notch staff as part of our village, helping us instill lessons and values of courage, self confidence, compassion, empathy, responsibility, discipline, and teamwork, to name a few, in so many of our youth that have passed through VEGA’s doors.  VEGA has even already shown their commitment of support/ opportunities for families adjusting to our new normal of virtual schooling. 
 
But 2020 has been a rough year for VEGA. And with this latest challenge, we, the parents,  decided we needed to show how committed a village we are and come together to keep VEGA afloat. While in the middle of a very exciting construction for a bigger and better gym, COVID-19 hit and the gym had to shut down for 12 weeks. VEGA was reopened with smaller numbers to ensure safety, when Hurricane Isaias arrived and completely flooded the current gym. Equipment was damaged beyond repair and other items will need special cleaning to be salvaged. On top of the lost equipment, the gym will have to close programs again and forgo revenue when it needs it most. 

VEGA has been hanging on through this pandemic and getting ready to be an even bigger asset to our community with the new larger, clean, state-of-the-art gym, but this flood is a major setback. They need our support so they can continue to serve our families and this community!

All donated funds will be used to replace damaged equipment, cover cleaning costs, and make up for lost revenue for yet another unexpected closure. Thank you for your compassion and generosity!
