With heavy hearts, we want to share that my beloved mom, Melanie, has passed away. She was surrounded by love in her final days, just as she deserved. We believe she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Losing her so soon has left an unimaginable void in our lives. We’re heartbroken, but also incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve received during this time.

We are now moving forward with her final wishes—cremation and a memorial service to honor her life and the love she gave so freely. Any contributions will help us cover these costs and give her the beautiful, respectful farewell she deserves.

Our family is facing one of the hardest chapters of our lives. My beloved mom, Melanie, is now home on hospice care after a long and difficult battle with end-stage heart and lung disease, including COPD and kidney failure. The doctors have done all they can, and now we’re focusing on keeping her comfortable and surrounded by love in her final days.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is that Melanie is only in her 50s. It’s far too soon, and we are all struggling to come to terms with how quickly her health declined. She still has so much love to give—and has given so much of it already.

Melanie is the heart of our family. She has always put others first—especially her loved ones and the animals she cared for so deeply. Her strength, kindness, and the unconditional love she’s shown throughout her life have touched everyone who’s had the blessing of knowing her.

As we cherish this time with her, we are also trying to prepare for what comes next—something no one is ever truly ready for: her funeral and final arrangements. Melanie has expressed her wish to be cremated and have a funeral service, so that her life can be honored and remembered with the love and dignity she deserves. These costs are more than we can manage on our own, and we’re humbly reaching out for support.
