*UPDATE*
I wanted to share an update and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last couple of months. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise the funds for Jacqueline’s surgery. Her tumor was successfully removed, and she has recovered so well — she has more energy, is more comfortable, and it’s been such a relief to see her acting like herself again. The biopsy did come back positive for cancer, so our next step is to get an ultrasound to make sure it hasn’t spread. I’m incredibly grateful that she’s feeling better and that the tumor is gone, and we’re taking everything one step at a time.
On my end, I’ve continued taking care of my health as well. I had an MRI and have been doing physical therapy for the past two months, and I’m finally feeling stronger and in less pain. It’s been a long road, but I’m making steady progress.
As for work, I’ve had some great leads and interviews recently, but I’m still searching for a full-time position. If you know of any opportunities or have suggestions, I would truly appreciate it. With ongoing vet care costs ahead for Jacqueline and still not being fully back on my feet financially, this is why I’m continuing to work toward my GoFundMe goal — every bit of support helps us keep moving forward.
Thank you again for all the kindness, donations, job leads, and encouragement. It has meant more than I can express — to both me and Jacqueline.
**********************************************************
This past year I’ve been searching for a full-time job while making ends meet with freelance work and driving for Lyft. Last month, my car was totaled when I was hit by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel, leaving me without my main source of income.
While I’ve been navigating the aftermath of the accident, my sweet pup Jacqueline developed a large laceration on a tumor on her stomach. She got antibiotics to prevent infection, but she will need surgery to have the tumor removed and tested. Right now we’re doing our best to keep her comfortable.
I’ve been working hard to stay afloat and apply to every opportunity, but I’ve reached a point where I could really use a little extra support. Your help will go toward Jacqueline’s surgery, urgent expenses, and keeping us moving forward while I continue my job search.
Whether it’s a donation, a job lead, or words of encouragement - it means the world to me and Jacqueline!
