This is something we never imagined having to do, but we’re in a short-term situation where we truly need help getting through.

For the past several years, we’ve been full-time caregivers for our elderly father—managing his daily care, medical needs, finances, and everything in between. After his passing earlier this year, we’ve been navigating the emotional and logistical weight of closing out his estate.

At the same time, we are in the middle of selling our home so we can relocate and rebuild. Our home just went live on the market, but preparing it required significant unexpected costs—deep cleaning, repairs, hauling, and restoring areas that were left in poor condition.

Right now, we’re facing a perfect storm of timing challenges:

• $2,000 in escrow (earnest money) for our next home

• Over $1,500 in unexpected veterinary expenses

• Temporary restriction of funds in my father’s account despite legal authorization

• Ongoing costs to prepare and maintain our home during the sale

We are doing everything we can—selling belongings, cutting expenses, and working nonstop—but we are short on immediate funds to bridge this gap.

This is temporary, but it’s urgent.
