Dear Friends,
As we all know, there is a terrifying situation happening in Ukraine. Over a million Ukrainian women and children have left their husbands and homes to escape the terror of war. Now displaced throughout Poland and other surrounding countries, they have nothing but the clothes on their backs.
For many years we have welcomed P. Galina, a Ukrainian woman, into our family as our grandmother's caretaker. She is the most caring, patient, and happy person who has given so much of her time and heart to our 100-year-old grandmother. Most importantly, she makes our grandmother feel safe, comfortable and in good spirits. So now it is time for us to be able to help her.
In the past couple of days, she has helped 13 people escape from Ukraine over to Poland. They are her daughter-in-law with 2 children, 4 women (2 of whom are pregnant), and 6 children. They had to leave their husbands behind and their whole lives. Our dad is currently in Poland and has updated us on what basic necessities they may need. Among our family in Poland, they have been able to pull together some essential items (i.e., pillows, towels, blankets, etc..) However, since they could only take out a very minimal amount of money from their banks when they left Ukraine, we would greatly appreciate any small donation to help them.
Together we can make a small but significant difference. Appreciate you all!
Kotecki Family
(these 6 kids, thank you immensely! )
