Project Volya - Medical Supplies

Donation protected
UPDATE: Project Volya in the news!

I am returning to Ukraine at the end of May with more medical supplies. Kevin and I are planning to make 2 significant deliveries to the frontline medics, totaling $30,000. But we still need more help to achieve our goals. Thanks everyone!

It will soon be time for me to return to Ukraine. On my initial trip to the Polish-Ukrainian border, I was able to evacuate seven families to safety in Europe and provide meaningful assistance to the refugees at the Przemsyl and Kroscienko refugee centres. In addition, I was able to build a children's play area and baby care corner and provide critical supplies to the refugee transit centres. You can see the results at this weblink. You can also see articles about my previous trip, generously funded by donors:

On this next trip, I've partnered with my friend and local physician Dr. Paul Dhillon, as well as a Kevin Leach, a Canadian ex-reservist living in Kyiv who worked for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. We've formed a partnership and are raising funds for urgently needed life saving medical supplies like chest seals, tourniquets and hemostatic gauze that are not covered by larger aid organizations. I will be travelling to Kyiv (June 26th) with the supplies and personally ensure everything is delivered successfully myself. Once I fly into Warsaw, Poland, it will take me another 20 hours by train to reach Kyiv. The situation in Ukraine is extremely difficult right now with 100-200 people being killed every day and hundreds more wounded.
Please see this article about the mission.

Objectives:
1) Deliver life saving medical supplies into Ukraine. I will use the majority of the funds to purchase these supplies. Paul and Kevin's Ukrainian contacts are providing us with detailed lists of what is most needed by Ukraine's wounded.

2) Bring some joy to displaced and wounded children in Ukraine. Some of the funds are being allocated for toys for care packages that I will personally deliver to a Kyiv city hospital. I am coordinating this effort with the physician who runs the Rehabilitation Clinic.

3) Protect Ukrainian children by also handing out comics-style pamphlets to teach them about unexploded mine and ordnance safety (UXO). We can help prevent loss of life and limb from the thousands of unexploded bombs.

The trip will last 2 weeks and my flight is booked for June 26th. Please help us by contributing whatever you can afford and help us share this fundraiser. Together we can help save the lives of Ukrainian defenders and civilians and help ease the trauma and suffering of Ukraine's children. Thank you!
