Helping Ty fight against leukemia blood cancer

Im reaching out to not only my friends and family, but the community for help. This is not something that is easy for me to do But as a mother, it’s the most selfless thing I can do ..My son Ty (some call Teej or stank) went under for an oral procedure on his back tooth which should have been an easy thing   , Just 4 days later I took him to the ER with the concern of pain and complications from this procedure. After hours of anticipation and waiting on results from blood work, our nightmare began ..We were transferred to John Hopkins all children's hospital where my EVERYTHING my baby was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia A type of blood cancer which is more common in young children immediately following that diagnostic procedures & treatment began. Unfortunately, B - ALL has no conclusive genetic factors and sadly, there are no known causes that play a role in forming the lymphocytic cancer cells in the bone marrow. Statistics show the journey will be long. Lots of ups and downs are expected My son will lose his hair & he will have good days and bad. However a smile still hasn’t left his face yet. Thankfully, this type of blood cancer is one of the better diagnosis to have because the survival rate is high at 94 percent , Not making it any easier but we are confident he will pull through this. He is already a fighter At 5 years old he is resilient and so strong Immediately following this news, I did what I needed to do as a mother. I went on leave at my job, and I was able to get into the Ronald McDonald house 3 weeks after being bedside . I will not leave my son’s side Our world came crashing down in that moment but Im doing all I can to remain strong for him Unfortunately being a single mom with a one income household is taking a toll on me financially. While we are extremely grateful for all of our family and friends through this .. Time has stood still for me since this nightmare began, but the reality in that is life and bills do not stop & Any contribution will be greatly appreciated Thank you for your time and if you can not donate we completely understand and ask to please just share and add our family to your prayers #TyStrong
