This Christmas, we are coming together to support Tommy a young adult with significant and constant care needs during what has become an extremely heartbreaking and challenging time.

Tommy has recently suffered the unimaginable loss of both his mum and his sister. His sister tragically passed away in a preventable accident, leaving behind two small children. These losses have left Tommy without the two closest people in his life at a time when he needs stability, love, and support more than ever.

Anyone who knows Tommy knows how much he absolutely loves Christmas and Santa. It’s his favourite time of year so much so that he wears Christmas outfits all year round. Christmas brings him joy, comfort, and excitement, and we want to make sure he still feels that magic, even in the middle of so much heartbreak.

Brooke, who has been a long-time support person for Tommy, has stepped up in the most incredible way. She is not just caring for him day-to-day she is making sure he feels safe, supported, and surrounded by love during this difficult transition. Alongside caring for Tommy, Brooke also has her own child and family, yet she continues to show compassion, strength, and devotion far beyond what anyone could expect.

With Christmas just around the corner, we want to ensure Tommy has the Christmas he deserves one filled with comfort, care, and moments of joy that honour the happiness this season brings him. We also want to ease the financial pressure on Brooke so she can focus fully on supporting Tommy and her own family through this time.

Brooke is a casual worker, meaning she has no leave entitlements and has already taken significant unpaid time off to organise funeral arrangements and ensure Tommy’s wellbeing. Our goal is to raise funds to help provide:

Financial relief for Brooke while she continues caring for Tommy

Brooke has made it clear she doesn’t want this fundraiser to be “for her” she only wants what’s best for Tommy. But we know that supporting her is supporting him. She is the person holding everything together with so much grace and love.
