Helping Todd fight stage 4 pancreatic cancer
Donation protected
It’s a year later and defying all odds, my dad is still with us fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The ongoing prayers and support from friends and family is what’s keeping him fighting as much as his body will allow.
His cancer has spread to his liver, which isn’t uncommon but it’s also not good. This is due in part to his blood platelets dropping too low to receive treatment.
Between the cancer spreading and him becoming allergic to medicines in the old treatment he needed to start a new formula of chemo. Between the low platelet levels and other complications that have came up my parents have had to take multiple trips a week and sometimes a day to the cancer center and the hospital.
I speak with my mom every day and I am deeply concerned for her because she is under so much stress and is mentally drained. Bills keep coming in along with needing extra gas for the trips to the doctor and hospital for tests. She has to call off work multiple times a week to help my dad when he’s been feeling extremely sick and weak.
I wish there was more I could to help them out, and this was the only way I could think of. I want to say thank you to everyone who has prayed and helped them over the last year that my dad has been fighting this terrible cancer.
His motorcycle group is having a benefit spaghetti dinner for them in April, but they’re struggling pretty bad right now and I want to help alleviate some of the stress .
Thank you all so much, it means the world to me and my family.
