At The Fresh Start Project we have a core list of things we aim to deliver to support each client through their move. As we have grown over our 2 years, our awareness of our clients’ needs has continued to develop and we now run 8 additional incremental programs outside of our core scope. WOWser and thank you for your role in successfully making this happen!

We have a client in major tooth agony. And has been for too long.

Our current Ontario system generously covers ANY child up to the age of 17 with an annual routine cleaning & checkup.

Currently, nothing is in place for adults-in-need.

We all know how expensive a typical visit to the dentist is for a routine cleaning and some x-rays.

As an adult struggling financially, a visit to the dentist falls low on the priority list.

Our client is at risk of losing 10+ teeth.

That’s not just loss of teeth.

It’s loss of speech, ability to eat regular food, the negative impact on confidence/pride which in turn could impact employability.

My dentist, Dr. Butany at Dentistry on Lakeshore, https://dentistryonlakeshore.com has agreed a professional courtesy to assist The Fresh Start Project with this client.

The work our client requires includes:

Complete oral examination with x rays

Professional cleaning,

Extraction of two decayed/infected teeth,

Restoration of infective teeth

Root canal therapy,

Replacement of failing fixed bridge

Completing two new bridges.

Total amount for this to be completed is $14,000.00

Clearly outside of our client’s budget….and ours as well.

Today we’re posting this with the goal to raise $1500. This will cover:

Complete oral examination with x rays

Professional cleaning,

Extraction of two decayed/infected teeth,

Restoration of 5 infective teeth

This, Dr. Butany shared, it the first priority.

Anything else raised will go directly to a dentist account which I personally am overseeing.

To suggest this client is moved by this help, when they have tried to be getting support independently (there isn’t a small enough pay back program for their budget) for months, would be an understatement. Every call I share with them, I hang up knowing I am the lucky one –witnessing what pure gratitude and humility looks like.

Whatever funds aren’t raised, of the $1500 I will pay personally.
