Good day to you all ,

My name is Wayne Rowlands many of you might know me for the bespoke coin cabinets and boxes i make for the Metal Detecting Hobby some of you might have even seen some of my creations over at the Rodney Cook Memorial Metal Detetecing Rally each year that i donate, to the wonderful cause in order to raise money to help others affected by Cancer.

This year ive decided to go that extra mile in order to raise money for the Rodney cook Memorial - Metal Detecting Rally. and there choice of charity's so that we can help others.

My challenge for this year is to walk from Caernarfon North Wales to the first Rodney Cook Memorial Metal Detecting Rally Event that will be held on the first week in September 2026

My mission is to walk approx 270 miles in total from Caernarfon North Wales to the Rally.

My mission is to walk roughly 30 miles each day with other fantastic Metal detectorist who will be joining me along the way in order for me to reach my final destination for this years Rodney Cook Memorial Metal Detecting Rally in September.

You may ask why im doing this ? Well I recently lost my wonderful Nan to cancer so in memory of my wonderful Nan and also to those who have lost there loved ones or who are affected by cancer in anyway, this is truly why im dedicating my time and body to this challenge and nothing will stop me from completing it in order to help others.

I expect it will be incredibly testing along my journey, but of course it will be nothing compared to the exhausting, heartbreaking journey that so many sufferers of cancer and there familys have to endure each day and each year.

As we all know cancer can take away anybody, anytime, regardless of how incredible their spirit may be or how strongly they fight this horrible disease.

So If anyone is interested in joining me along my journey then you are more than welcome to, even if it’s only for a mile or so , i sure could do with your support along the way.
