Helping to Find a Flute for my career
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Reese Emery and I am currently in my second year of college pursuing degrees in both music education and flute performance. This is my first time setting up a Go Fund Me page and I am in desperate need of your help. This semester, I have been in search of a professional flute, which will help further my career and playing. I had outgrown my flute and found a way to cover the expenses of a new one, or at least I thought I did. After weeks of filling out additional student loan applications to help with my purchase, I was finally approved, money disbursed in my account on October 14. The only thing left to do was sell my current flute to help with the new purchase. Luckily, my flute sold quickly to a young high school student searching for her upgrade. Everything was working in my favor and I had even narrowed the search down between three flutes, all currently in my possession on trial. What I wasn’t expecting, was to receive an email yesterday from the University’s financial aid office stating that there computer system made an error and awarded me too much of a loan. And, the money was already disbursed into my account before they saw this error. Now I have to pay over a third of the loan that I budgeted, based on my approval for this purchase, back by November 13. Needless to say, I was devastated when reading this news because I thought I was about to make my final decision on the flute of my dreams. So, I am asking for your assistance! Please consider donating, anything will help, in support of my pursuit to purchase a professional instrument. I am currently a second year college student without a flute. Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
