Hello everyone,

I’m setting up this GoFundMe page to support two of my closest friends, Hollie and Kris, who are facing the most heartbreaking and unimaginable journey.

In August 2025, Hollie and Kris were enjoying a family holiday with their two young sons, Toby (5) and Riley (1), when Kris, aged 37 at the time, began suffering from severe headaches. As the holiday went on, the headaches became progressively worse. After returning home, they went to a spa to celebrate Hollie’s birthday, but Kris suddenly developed an excruciating headache that affected his speech and balance. Fearing the worst, they rushed straight to hospital.

After hours of waiting in A&E, they were given the devastating news that a CT scan had revealed a large tumour, approximately 5cm in size, on the left side of Kris’s brain. He was admitted to hospital for further scans and tests before being discharged on strong pain relief and steroids to reduce the swelling while they awaited the next steps.

Kris was referred to King’s College Hospital where he underwent an eight-hour awake brain surgery on 3rd September. Following an agonising wait, the surgeons told Hollie that they had successfully removed around 80% of the tumour. Sadly, they could not remove the remainder because it was embedded within healthy brain tissue, and doing so would have caused life-changing damage.

A few days later came the news every family fears. Kris was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumour. They were told his prognosis was just 12–18 months.

In the midst of this unimaginable heartbreak, there was also a beautiful blessing. Hollie later discovered she was pregnant, and in May they welcomed their precious daughter, Sienna, into the world.

No family should have to navigate such joy and such heartbreak at the same time.

Kris is the most devoted partner to Hollie, an amazing dad and the kind of person who would do absolutely anything for his family or for anyone who needed a helping hand. He has always been the first to put others before himself, offering support without ever expecting anything in return. If anyone deserves that same kindness and support now, it's Kris and his family.

One of Hollie and Kris’s biggest wishes is to get married surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

I’m creating this page to help ease some of the financial pressures that lie ahead, including travel to and from hospital appointments, everyday living costs, and, when the time comes, funeral expenses. Most importantly, we hope it will help make their dream of getting married a reality and allow Hollie, Kris, Toby, Riley and Sienna to create precious memories together—moments that will be treasured forever.
