Hi, my name Is Johnson. I am 14 and I am currently on a road to raise money so that I can travel to Ecuador to help build schools in small villages/communities in the Amazon Rainforest in summer 2027. I am travelling with Camps International, a social enterprise who make things like this achievable. If I am to go though, I have to raise a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time (by April 2027).

It's a 4 week expedition which includes helping to build schools, reforestation, travelling to the Galapagos Islands and learning more and sharing differences and culture with the small communities of Ecuador.

I hope to raise money in various ways, for example through sponsorship of events and challenges I will undertake, as well as working in our local area washing cars and mowing lawns. My family have offered to help by taking on challenges too. My mum is running the London Marathon dressed as a turtle, racing 100miles across Snowdonia and then 268 miles along the Pennine Way, all in the space of 3 months - to try and help me raise funds too. I chose to make her dress as a turtle!!

I really want to do this to help the children who don't have the opportunities that I have had, as well as to learn more about other cultures and share ideas and broaden my horizon. My mum says it will help me grow up and in future life experiences too!
