Tinas strength is love - Brain tumor campaign

Starting in October of 2019 there was a phone call from Luke to Jon, the phone call was full of emotion as Luke had just witnessed his mum collapse in front of him. Tina had been at work that day cleaning and it was around 8.50pm, Luke could not contain his distress as I spoke with him on the phone, I called for an ambulance as I then began to drive around. On arriving Tina was already in the back of an ambulance and unconscious, this was the start of a period of 2 weeks where she remained in a coma. Tina prior to this was as well as you or I and worked cleaning for the elderly within the community, not only providing them with a spotless home but also providing them with warmth and companionship.
Tina was taken into A+E at Wythenshawe hospital for what was the first of many a long night, she was then moved to ICU at Wythenshawe where I stayed through the night with her, there was signs of an abnormality on an initial brain xray. With no signs of Tina coming round she then started to have seizures, the ICU team changed the medication Tina was on but to no avail the seizures continued, during the next week Tina notes were refered to Salford Hospital and her case was discussed, it was advised to her family she would have to be moved over there when it was safe to do so. She remained unconscious for over 10days in Wythenshawe I spent each day and night there praying for her to recover and wake up.
Tina was moved to Salford Hospital after all neccesary precautions had been evaluated, for the next 3 days Tina was in her coma with me attending every day, I visited the chapel in the hospital and began praying asking for the lord to allow Tina to awaken, I then visitied Tina on CCU on what was now the 15th day of her coma, I sat by her bedside and played
I cried with every note sung I wished her back into my life. Alas nothing and I returned home, but then a phone call only a few hours later, Tina had woken from her coma, we as a family could rejoice, we could begin to plan for our future again, the relief was undeniable but tainted as now the scans including and MRI began to show the cause of the issue, Tina had a grade 3 brain tumor which required operating on. I cant begin to understand the emotions Tina must have felt when she woke up to see her family and realise she was alive again only to be told less than 48 hours later she had a brain tumor.
Salford and the specialists then began to plan the operation and they removed as much of the tumor as they could unfortunately parts of it had gone deeper into her brain than they could reach, the surgeon explained this to me on the phone after the surgery, she was so compassionate in her explanation.
Now we move onto the worse part of it all, once the tumor had been removed the hospital put it under the micorscope and discovered the severity of the tumor and how aggresive it was, the next stage of treatment begins on December the 27th 2019 at Christies hospital for radio therapy to try and slow down the growth of the brain tumor, Tina has been told she will suffer the negative effects of the treatment and we nderstand this is something we have to do, then chemotherapy will follow.
Tina is a truly special lady, mother and partner, she would always put everybody else first, when this news has been given to her by each of the specialist she has remained stoic, she has had to live with other medical difficulties from her pregnancies but it has never stopped her from being a hard working, truly inspirational woman. Tina always provides for her family and would always assist others where possible, Tina as donated her hair to a childrens wig making company so that young children with with similar illness can benefit and retain their dignity when at school or playing with their friends. If there was a prime example of someone who would always help and do so with a smile it is Tina.
I can not thank the hospital staff at Wythenshawe for keeping Tina alive on ICU, the staff at Salford Hospital CCU for ensuring Tina awoke from her coma, the surgeon at Salford for her skills in removing as much of the tumor as possible and the NHS in general for dedicating there time and compassion into the woman I love and adore. If I have one message for everyone out there is if you love someone please tell them now, this second as what I have learned is life is so fragile and we must treasure our loved ones and hold them every night, kiss them every morning and tell them you adore and love them, as life is so amazing and sharing it with someone is the only thing that truly matters.
During this time Luke (Tinas eldest son) got his first job and Ethan (who is autisitc) has remained on track at school, I myself have struggled to cope as I learned of the news befalling my soulmate, if you have seen me on the streets I apologise for looking glum and sad as I am known to be a positive person.
