Helping Tim to his road to recovery

Hello Everyone, My name is Megan Kaponin and I am Tim’s fiancée. I’ve created this Go Fund me to help with medical bills for Tim during his road to recovery. On August 12, 2021 Tim and his son were involved in a car accident. They were on their way home from his sons football practice to which Tim had been notified it was cancelled due to the rain storm. On their way home while Tim was driving a tree fell on the drivers side of the car. Tim’s son was NOT hurt. He had no scrapes or bumps or bruises. Tim was cut out of the car and rushed to Allegheny General Hospital Trauma Center. On Friday August 13, 2021 Tim had surgery to fuse his neck. He broke is C 3,4,5, and 6 vertebrae’s. The surgeon told us that it was worse break he had seen without someone being paralyzed. He was millimeters from it. His neck was fused with pins and a rod. Tim was in the hospital for 1 week and then he went to Emcompass Health Rehab Facility. He was there for 2 and half weeks. Tim is home now recovering. He has in home health and rehab. He is in a very large neck brace to secure his neck and his body from moving too much. He is limited on some of his mobility. He had some nerve damage to his right arm to which they are working on strengthening. Tim had angels watching over his son and himself for which their lives could’ve been taken but by the Grace of God they were saved. We have started this GoFund me to help Tim with his medical bills.
