Helping those in Yemen this Ramadan.
Donation protected
Hi there,
My name is Nadim Al-Maktari and I’m a Yemeni/Somali. As you guys may know we are raising money for those in desperate need this Ramadan. Every year we try to reach the target of £1,000 but this year I’m aiming to hit double. The reason for this is because I want to be able to spread the money about and hopefully help more families than we did last year. I will be sending it off to one of my close family members, Jamila, who has started his own organisation to help deliver and supply to those in need. The money will be sorted out to help each family in whatever means necessary. Whether that’s water, food or medical. I don’t think any of us understand the severity of what’s happening in Yemen so I want you to put it this into perspective. Imagine you and your whole family have to choose each day that goes by, who gets to eat a piece of bread. Now imagine, on some of these days you don’t even get the option. Now imagine, as time goes by, one by one you’re starting to lose a family member. This could be anyone. Now hear me out, Ramadan is the month of giving. Don’t feel any type of way if you can’t donate much or even anything. Charity can be done in different ways but if you are able to donate, donate. If not, make sure to share as many of these pages to your friends and family so you too can receive some rewards. It is mentioned in a hadith that, the Prophet Muhammad s.w.t once said ‘Charity does not reduce wealth’.
