Helping this family in a time of need

My name is Karina V many may know my best friend Erika’s son Elijah is at Texas Children’s Hospital fighting for his life what was supposed to just be an adenoidectomy on March 24th ended up being many complications following. Drs tried extibation but was unsuccessful due to pulmonary edema so he was unable to breathe without being on a vent, his bp continuously dropping, and body temperature dropping. The fluids in Elijahs lungs ended up turning into pneumonia last week. Once he finishes a round of medication Drs will try extubation again. Parents received the news no one was expecting he won’t make it afterwards his body is shutting down they could have days or weeks with him we are unsure. No parent should have to say goodbye to child. His father is the sole provider for the family he is currently on leave without pay spending every moment he can with Elijah. Let’s take the burden off of his parents while they try to prepare themselves to say goodbye to their baby boy. Mind you Erika just lost her mother March 2024.
