Helping the Zasada Family

My name is Andrew Miller and I am raising funds for Joshua and Vicki Zasada. My brothers Josh, Tyler, and I play in a flag football league together. Just like every other weekend, we had a football game that started around 11:20 PM Friday night. There are a plethora of rules in place to make the game as safe as possible. On one of the last plays of the game, Josh went out for a pass and attempted to catch the ball. Upon landing on his right foot, he immediately fell to the ground Screaming in pain. We all rushed to see that Josh had broken his leg. Tyler and I follow the ambulance to the hospital to learn more. It was apparent that his leg was broken. But it was more than what we had anticipated.
Upon examination from the hospital staff, Josh had a broken tibia and broken fibula as well as parts of his ankle being broken. After he was wrapped up to keep his leg, as straight as possible, and given pain medication, they took x-rays and scans. To see the extent of the damage. They saw that Josh had also developed what’s known as compartment syndrome. This is when pressure built up in the leg constricts blood flow due to his injury placement. Josh is having a fasciotomy done at this time. The surgeon said its two long incisions one on the inside and outside of the leg. After the medical staff is able to put in what rods and pins they need to fix the damage, another plastic surgeon will repair the damages caused by the incisions. There is more information to come, and I will do my best to keep giving out as many updates as we can.
With Josh going to be out of work for a while, Tyler and I will be stepping up to help with Vicki and Jordyn as much as we can. His wife Vicki is pregnant and due next month to bring a beautiful boy into this world. Jordyn who just turned one this past year is a cute and smiley baby girl. Any help we can get will go towards the hospital, bills, food, and supplies for this wonderful family.
Please take whatever action you can to help this family. In all honesty, the number is a placeholder at the moment. We all know how hospital bills are, and the amount shown is going to be a fraction of what it’s going to cost. Please consider donating anything you can do to help my brother in this time of crisis. In order to keep things as uniform as possible, please reach out to me either via Facebook messenger or my personal cell. If you are unable to donate money at this time, and you still want to help, there are plenty of ways we can all work together.
1. First and foremost, one thing, all of us can do is pray. Please pray for the healing and the care of this entire family. So long as we are in the Lord’s hands, He will provide for us.
2. if you can’t donate money, one thing, we’re all capable of doing is donating some of our time. This can be done in a multitude of ways. Just a few to note, would be things like providing diapers, or children’s items, making a meal for the family, all the way down to performing simple tasks they may need help with since Josh can’t move around. And if you can think of anything else, feel free to contact me so we can discuss how we can help this family effectively.
Lastly, I just want to thank everybody for reading through this. This is something that has close to my heart. Josh and Tyler has been a huge part of my life for my entire life. Vicki has been one of my best friends going on close to 2 decades. And those beautiful children have been, and will continue to be a blessing in everyone’s lives there around. I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart, if there is anything you can do at all, please don’t hesitate. Pray about how you can help these wonderful people. Whether or not, you can help financially, absolutely anything you can come up with at this point will be extremely helpful. Even if you just have ideas on ways to get some extra money, or having to raise more help, I will gladly hear you out and work beyond my best capabilities to provide for the Zasada family.
Thank you for your contribution and your attention. If you need to reach out to me, please message me on Facebook, my email, and I can provide my cell if necessary.
Thank you,
Andrew Miller
