It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the passing of my Amoo Hossein Zahedi on Friday October 29, 2021.

He leaves behind two daughters Ameneh and Salmeh who were the light of his life and meant the world to him. His girls brought him so much joy and happiness and you could see the love he had for them just through watching their interactions. His daughters are his entire world, there is nothing he would not and will not do for these two!

He also leaves behind his wife of 44 years Yassaman. His best friend, his partner in crime, his perfect counterpart and his soulmate. I can’t imagine my Amoo without my Khale. Those two have been through thick and thin…side by side.

There’s not a person in the world who met him that did not love him! The one thing that has brought the family solace during this time has been the outpouring of love they’ve received. As I’ve been with them, the calls have been nonstop, not just of condolences but of stories that have been shared. Stories of fun times they had with my Amoo because my Amoo turned every moment into a time to enjoy because he believed you should live life to the fullest. That’s what he taught his daughters, live life with passion, live it with love, love life and do the things that bring you joy. Stories shared of when he was there for others in times of need, because my Amoo would give you his last $20 without hesitation if you needed it because that’s who he was. He wouldn’t think twice. That’s what he taught his family, his girls; that you help people, even if you don’t have it, that you help others and your struggles will work out. Stories shared of lessons he taught people, but not through lectures but by example, working hard, being a good, honest, caring person. He told his girls to be strong, to move forward and cherish life, as hard as they are trying their dad/husband’s presence is one that’s going to leave an emptiness for a while.
