Helping the Wilson’s with medical expenses

Hello! My name is Samantha and I am raising money to help my sister and brother-in-law. Madison and Ben Wilson.

In May Ben started getting sick with high fevers and fatigue.

He was seen June 12th by his local doctor and had labs drawn. From those they found that he had low hemoglobin and blood in his urine. Coupled with the pain in his back they decided to order a CT to rule out kidney stones.

CT done on the June 19th found the mass on his kidney and they were referred to urology. Urology appointment on June 21st who then ordered an mri.

Mri on the 26th confirmed he needed surgery and hopefully just a partial nephrectomy (partial kidney removal).

Surgery on August 3rd for the removal of the tumor and the affected part of the kidney went well. Biopsy revealed that he had Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (a type of kidney cancer). Follow up with nephrology this Wednesday.

While Madison has been able to continue to work part time, Ben has been unable to work since the first few weeks of June and has been on disability. With him not working the medical bills have started to accumulate and I am just hoping to help ease some of that burden on them.
