Our Family’s life was turned upside down in an instant on March 24th, 2026.

Gabriel Vigil was a devoted husband and loving father of three beautiful children. All while being a superhero hero at home, he was also a super hero in real life being a police officer with Albuquerque Police Department. Gabriel tragically passed away leaving behind his wife and babies: Chantel Vigil, Walker Vigil (3), Melody Vigil (1.5), and Charlie Vigil (3 months). While he was also a loving husband and father. Gabriel was also a son to Josephine and Joseph Martinez, a brother, a grandson, a cousin, and a nephew. Everyone who knew Gabriel knew he was such a strong, God fearing, loving family man. This loss is so sudden and unimaginable. He left silence in their home that words can’t fully describe. A space once filled with laughter, bedtime stories, hours of playtime with their daddy, and a strong steady presence of a father and husband who cared so deeply for his family. `

His Wife, a dedicated stay at home mom now faces the unimaginable reality of raising their babies on her own all while grieving and figuring out how to make sense of this unthinkable loss. Chantel has always been the heart of the house, always pouring her love and energy into their kids. Now with this loss it has brought a lot of emotional and financial challenges that no one could ever prepare for.

His babies have not only lost their father, but a guiding light in their lives. They are trying to understand a loss that is far too big for their young hearts, While their mother does everything that she can possibly do to stay strong for them.
