Helping the Troy Family

On the morning of July 16th everything changed for the Troy family.
While Terry was driving for work he had stroke. Luckily he made it to a 7-11 parking lot where a former UR employee happened to be pulling in and saw Terry falling out of his truck. That person called 911, notified Terry’s boss, and saved his life.
Terry was taken to Prince William Hospital and shortly after flown to Fairfax Hospital to receive the best care possible.
Due to the stroke Terry had a brain bleed, and had a hard time moving his left side. Terry was in the ICU, and eventually was able to move to a regular room for the rest of his stay at INOVA Fairfax.
On 7/26 Terry was moved from the Fairfax Hospital main campus to the hospital rehab facility across the street.
He has been working 4 hours a day with a team of excellent therapists.
Considering everything that Terry has gone through he has progressed tremendously well, and with lots of work and time they believe he can make a full recovery.
On August 18th Terry will be moved to another rehab/ assisted living facility while he continues to work with therapists to help with his strength and balance.
As you can imagine all of this is causing financial strain on the family. Medical bills slowing starting to come in, lots of money spent on gas going back and forth to the hospital, lots of lost hours of work for Amber and Terry, and of course just being able to keep up with the normal day expenses for Amber and the kids.
Any help for the family would be greatly appreciated!!
**A little bit about me: My name is Amber Reynolds and I’ve known Terry for about 19 years. We work together, and not only is he my co-worker but he is my very good friend. He refers to me as his work wife. I’ve been talking to Amber since day 1 trying to help her with whatever they need. **
