Our family is grieving the loss of a woman who meant everything to us.

My mom was the most joyful person I’ve ever known; this joy was illustrated daily in the way she loved, laughed, and showed up for everyone around her. She loved like Jesus in the most genuine, everyday ways, offering kindness, grace, and peace wherever she went. She was an incredible wife to my dad, Joe, and a devoted, loving mom to Jude (8) and me (23). Our lives were brighter simply because she was in them.

On Christmas Eve, our world was shattered when my mom suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and required prolonged CPR. Thanks to the care of amazing doctors, her body was stabilized, and we held tightly to hope and prayer. Later, an MRI revealed that the lack of oxygen had caused severe brain damage, leaving her unable to wake up. With broken hearts and complete trust in God, we had to say goodbye.

Even in her passing, my mom continued to love and give. As an organ donor, her incredible generosity will save the lives of four people. Thinking of others before herself defined her life from beginning to end.

Now my dad, Joe, is facing life without his best friend while caring for my little brother and finding a new sense of normal for our family. Alongside overwhelming grief, medical expenses and daily living costs weigh heavily during this season. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses and support Joe and Jude as they take their next steps forward, one day at a time.
