Hello, as you all may know, my sister Jamie Tepley has lost her battle with Covid-19 on Thursday September 16, 2021.
It has always been Jamie's dream to move where there was water, palm trees and she could always wear her flip flops. So when her husband Patrick retired from Fort Carson Fire Dept. they were moving down to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Jamie was lucky enough to get a job earlier then January and so she moved down there in October 2020. She enjoyed spending time with her mom Debby, her son Trevor, his girlfriend Amanda and her son Bryten in the warm weather while the rest of us was up in Colorado freezing our butts off.
Jamie and Pat would make as many trips as they could to see each other until Pat was ready to make the big move. While she was up here she loved to go camping, riding on their toys (atv's and side by sides) with Cheyenne and Richie and Haley and AJ. Well, things did not exactly work out and as much as Jamie hated to leave Arizona, she missed her husband. She was offered a job back in Colorado so she loaded up her truck and headed back to home.
We continued to pray as much as we could and talk to our Dad to tell him that it is not her time and she is still needed down here. After a 2 week battle of her being in the ICU, her body could no longer fight and they family made the difficult decision to place her on comfort care and she passed very quickly.
As much as the family hated to lose not only a wife, mother, daughter and sister and Aunt. We are asking for help with funeral expenses as this happened so suddenly and the family did not have time to prepare. Anything helps and will go directly to the family.
Jamie was born in raised in the the Security community where her Dad, Mel, was the Fire Chief. She also was well known around the Fort Carson Fire Dept. because of Dad and Pat. We would spend our summers hanging out at the drill meets around Colorado with the fire depts. She went by Momma Tep by many of Trevor, Cheyenne and Haley's friends. Mrs. Tepley from the kids who would "visit" her in ISD, at Sproul Jr High.
In the afternoons you could find her at the softball fields at the Widefield Community Center watching her daughters play softball and at the soft tournaments for the girls competitive softball games. She was always at the community center to watch not only her own kids but to cheer on the kids that were not biologically hers, oh and because Pat also worked there. But her most important roll that she loved the most was being called Grandma Jamie by her grandson Bryten!!
On behalf of the family, I want to thank you all so much for your continued prayers, text messages, private messages and phone calls. It all has meant so much to our family.
