Longtime friends of the Tayrien family—their village—have come together to start this important fundraiser, borne from an unimaginable tragedy and an urgent need for healing. Please take a moment to read their story below.

Helping Their Family Begin Again...

On June 11, their beloved son, Ryder Tayrien, died by suicide in their home. He was just 19. Ryder was deeply loved—his kind heart, sense of humor, and presence brought light into everyone’s lives. Losing him has shattered their world in ways that words can’t fully express.

They are now navigating unimaginable grief while caring for their two youngest children, ages 5 and 3. Their home, once filled with laughter and safety, now carries the weight of this trauma, displacing them from their home. They are doing their best to figure out what healing looks like—for their kids, themselves, and for the memory of Ryder.

In limbo, they don’t yet know whether part of their healing means repairing and changing parts of their home or starting fresh somewhere new. What we do know is that they need our support to help them find safety, to begin the healing process, and to protect the hearts of their children as they grow through this and find a future where peace is once again possible.
