Hi, my name is Angela Strickland. On behalf of myself, my husband Shane, and our daughter Natalie, we are in desperate need of help due to the extensive hurricane damage to our home in Pace, Florida. Unfortunately, our home was uninsured. We were told our roof was too old to be insured, and we planned on saving up and replacing the roof by next year.
Then Hurricane Isaias came out of nowhere. The night of the hurricane was very intense and the most scary thing we’ve experienced in our lives. We are so thankful we evacuated to a friend’s home. The harrowing winds, vibration, and shaking of the house will haunt me for years.
The next morning, we saw all the devastation around us. When we checked on our house, we found 2 massive 100-year-old oak trees that fell on our home. One of them crushed into our master bedroom, and the other crashed over my daughter’s bedroom, crushing the brick wall and lying across 80% of our home. Our home is exposed to the elements, and the structure of our home is greatly damaged. It is unlivable with this type of damage.
If you can help in any way, shape, or form, and can share this with your family and friends, Shane and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts and our souls. The stress and worry about this is heavy on my heart.
Any and all donations will go strictly to removing the trees safely and properly off of our home and repairing our home. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We appreciate everyone!! We are praying for all the other families in our community who are going through this tragedy.
