Hello everyone. I’m not sure where to start. This past weekend my brother in law, Mark Stover, suffered a severe heart attack. The heart attack known as the “widow maker”. Praising God he was at the gun raffle where there were EMT’s and an ambulance. They checked him out and called over a golf cart that hauled him to the ambulance. The ambulance loaded him and they left the raffle to head towards evangelical hospital. They were only down the road a few miles when Mark flatlined and they had to shock him and were thankfully able to bring him back. The ambulance crew called Life Flight and were met near the fairgrounds where they picked him up and took him straight to Geisinger. Once there they took him to the cath lab where they discovered that his artery was 100% blocked and they put stents in to help open up the flow. I’ll tell you that after I saw the ambulance head down the road I was relieved. I was glad he was going to be checked out. What I didn’t know was within the next 8 minutes my little brother (for the last 26 years) would die and be brought back to life. 8 minutes! It’s still unbelievable.
The cost of Life Flight will be determined eventually. He will be off of work for at least two weeks. They are selling their current home on Thursday 6/26 and buying their new to them, forever home on 6/27. They just had a beautiful wedding for their oldest daughter and learned that they will be grandparents to a grandson in October. It’s a really bad time for Mark, who is the main breadwinner in their family, to be out of work. If you can donate please do. Any amount will help them with their current and upcoming bills while Mark is recovering. Please share and help us help them get through these next 4-6 weeks while Mark heals and life gets back to their “new” normal.
