Helping the Smith Family (Jason)

Hi everyone, my name is Dametris, and I am fundraising for Jason Smith and his mother Patricia Patterson, who’ve tragically lost their home and all of their possessions in a 4 alarm fire, that took the lives of two people, July 4th in NE Portland. The cause of the fire, is still under investigation.

Portland has a high homeless rate, and it is tragedy like this, that can easily add another family to that population.

I am truly trying to prevent this.

Patricia is a phenomenal mother, who had to jump from a second story, in a life or death decision to save her life. Homelessness is not an option.

Jason started a lovely candle company during the pandemic that was thriving, and homeless is not an option for him either.

Your contribution will help with down payments for new living space, and of course, not replacing all possessions, but the necessities until the Red Cross vouchers expire.

Honestly, despairation in these times are real, and as a community I believe we can prevent the despair.
