Helping the Dupre-Sipka Family

Donation protected
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share with family and friends that Christine & Ron Sipka’s oldest son - Adam Dupré - has passed away. Adam’s death was unexpected, and our hearts are forever broken. He was an inspiration to many and held precious space in so many people’s lives. He leaves a void that will never again be filled.

This young amazingly talented artist, creator and innovator has left the physical world far too soon. As you can imagine, Ron and Christine, along with Lucas, Matthew & Cameron, Carol and Donald Dupré, and the entire family – immediate and extended - are devastated and overwhelmed dealing with this sudden and tragic loss.

Christine, Ron, and Lucas, accompanied by Don & Carol, had to rush to New York City to handle Adam’s affairs and make final arrangements. They spent a number of days there as they took care of unimaginable things. I know from our recent visit that the cost of staying in the city is astronomical. I cannot imagine having the frustration and anxiety of trying to figure out how to take care of the unexpected expenses while worrying about getting their regular bills paid, not to mention anticipating future expenses that will arise while sorting out his final affairs. Add to this dealing with the single greatest fear a parent has, and indisputably the most painful event anyone could ever deal with: the loss of a child.

The family is facing a hardship from these unexpected expenses  - present and future - and I am asking for your kindness and help. Please share this with any and all as you wish. Any contribution will give them a little bit of breathing room to deal with the financial aspects of this loss. And your consideration will serve to remind them that they, and Adam, are loved and in your thoughts. I know they will be forever grateful for your love and support during this extremely difficult time.

Adam Walter Dupré – 04/14/1986 – 02/02/2020

Adam Walter Dupré, of New York, New York passed on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the age of 33. Adam was born in Rhode Island and grew up in Coventry, RI before moving to Massachusetts. He then returned to RI, living in Providence before settling in New York City. He was predeceased by his great grandmother Lillian Burtt (GG) with whom he shared a love unlike any other. Adam was the son of Christine Dupré-Sipka and Ron Sipka; brother of Lucas, Matthew and Cameron Sipka; grandson of Donald & Carol Dupré. In addition he is sadly missed by his extended family; all of the branches of The Rockwell, Dupré, Olson, Sipka, Nero and Kenyon families.

Adam was an incredible creator and innovator, loved traveling the world, and was an avid cycling enthusiast, skier and skater. He was passionate about Formula 1 racing in all of its aspects. He lived his life with no apologies and took advantage of every opportunity to expand his knowledge and experience new things. And if the opportunities to do so were not readily apparent, he always found a way to create them. He was especially fond of Shanghai, China and Greece, but found joy in all of his travel adventures.

When he was home in NYC he was known to regularly ride his bike or rollerblade, and shared his sense of humor by naming his rides with titles like “Don’t Hit the Children” or “Back in the New York Groove”. He lived his life to the fullest and on his own terms. And when Adam truly loved you, his love was limitless, fully realized and known to all.

In accordance with the wishes of Adam and his immediate family, no services will be held, but all are encouraged to raise a glass, take a ride or find your special way to honor his memory.

In lieu of any flowers or expressions of sympathy, we ask that you please consider donating to the family to defray expenses. Any funds beyond what is needed will be placed in a college fund for Lucas Sipka.
