Helping the Sepulveda Family
Donation protected
The Sepulveda family recently lost one of their loved ones. Mr. Florencio Sepulveda passed away on Friday, May 15th, at the young age of 58. He leaves behind his 4 beautiful daughters (Melissa, Clarissa, Nancy, and Becky) and 4 amazing grandkids (Benjamin, Jonathan, Isabella, and Maya). Mr. Sepulveda was a hard-working man. He was committed to helping raise his brothers and sisters by working from an early age of 10. He was their handyman, always ready to fix everything and never expecting anything in return.
The family must now endure the hardships of planning an unexpected funeral and burial as they begin to grieve. Financial matters are the last thing they need to be worrying about. There will be many difficult days and tough nights ahead as the pain of losing someone never really fades.
I met Melissa Cisneros at Gary Elementary School over 10 years ago and, soon after, became the closest of friends. She is such a wonderful person who is full of energy and positivity. It shows in everything she sets out to do at home, at work, with family and with friends. She is a great mom who is always present in her children's lives. She lives for them day in and day out, never having a dull moment with them. She is a passionate educator who cares so much about the student population, the parents in the community, and her colleagues at Gary School. My heart aches knowing that I can not be there for my "twin" and her family.
With the pandemic going on, we can't be there physically to show our support with our heartfelt hugs. Her family can not have a proper "send off" as his funeral attendance will be limited to immediate family.
For those of you who know Melissa, you know that she is one to lend a helping hand right away. Let's come together and do the same for her and her family during this difficult time. These last few months have been difficult financially and emotionally for many of us, but we hope you can contribute what you can. Any amount will help towards alleviating the financial stress and maybe we can help ease some of their pain. May Mr. Sepulveda rest in peace.
