On behalf of the Sanderson family, we are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Michael Sanderson, a loving husband to Norma, and a devoted father to Michael (24), Alex (17), and Autumn (14).

Just before Christmas, Michael received a sudden and devastating cancer diagnosis. Despite every effort and two intense weeks at MD Anderson, he passed away on Friday, January 23rd, 2026. The speed of his illness has left his family in complete shock, with no time to prepare emotionally or financially.

Michael was an INCREDIBLE father. He showed up to every single game, always cheering his kids on - the teams who knew him will feel this loss deeply.

As the family navigates this painful time, they are also facing immediate financial burdens, specifically medical bills and the sudden loss of their primary income. Many friends and loved ones have asked how they can help, and this page has been created to support Norma and the kids while they take time to grieve and rebuild their lives.

Any donation will go directly towards medical bills that continue to arrive, living expenses as Norma adjusts to life without Michael’s income, and support and stability for Alex and Autumn during this heartbreaking transition.
