Seth has completed radiation and is in his second week of chemotherapy! There have been many changes this go round-longer hospital stays, much, much sicker and a lot of unexpected time off! I would like for you all to meet my friend Seth Rowe. Seth is a twelve year old little boy who is headed into his second bout with a brain tumor. The day he found out he literally said, “Well God has this so I would like to go back to Grandma’s to finish my week at Vacation Bible School learning about the Armor of God and you two (Mom and Dad) need to go on a date night.” This is bravery beyond understanding. Additionally, bravery that can only come from the Lord. I cannot speak enough to the depth of this little boy, my brother in Christ. To watch our dear friends fight this battle, again, is heart wrenching and we all want to know-how can we help!?!??!?! How can we support you?!?! Most importantly, we all want them to know that we love them and we are here to carry this load with them. As this journey begins again in the next couple of days in lieu of taking the family dinners nightly I am asking for loved ones, friends, family members, church members and the community to donate money towards a dinner. The Rowe family is going to have to live away from home at the Ronald McDonald house over the next six months for radiation. Following radiation they will be in-patient for chemotherapy for several months. While the family loves others this will be a difficult time and the physical response to these treatments is unsure. Company popping in and out may not be an option particularly with a compromised immune system. More than anything if you are reading this please stop and say a prayer for complete healing and no recurrence.
