For a lot of us at Sonatype, Dan and Ann were crucial and important to us. Ann used to work on Nexus IQ Server writing some of the docs that people still read to this day. In a way we owe a portion of our success to her early work. Once Ann was diagnosed with cancer, she fell out of working at Sonatype as she battled the ugly disease, but Dan has been around this entire time delighting all of us with his awesome attitude and dedication to doing the right thing. It is hard or impossible to find someone at Sonatype that has any sort of negative association with either of these fine humans, and it is with sadness that we relay that Ann passed on December 21st, 2019, leaving Dan and the rest of the Rollo family. 

Our hearts broke as we discovered this news, some of us having known for a while, and feeling a deep amount of sadness, as we all lost a friend in Ann. With Dan and his family we all feel like we want to help out in their time of need, not only through monetary means, but in support and love for them.

This GoFundMe is setup to help with funeral costs, and the costs that the family will now incur moving forward with Dan as the primary parent. Think getting kids to Soccer practice, etc...
