Helping The Pullium Family Fight Leukemia

On December 13th, 2020 my best friend, Crystal Pullium was diagnosed with leukemia. This news was a  shock to many of us and left us all very heartbroken. She has been through so much already. In July, 2019 she was hospitalized in the icu for complications from a routine laparoscopic surgery, during which she endure another major surgery that saved her life. Her family was told that people with these type of complications usually don’t make it. She was strong, was a fighter, and beat the odds. She got stronger each day and eventually was released home. Unfortunately her difficulties didn’t stop there and during her healing process at home she developed pain in her hips. This resulted in another surgery and multiple other procedures. She has dealt with generalized aches and pains and overall weakness since July, 2019. She has been in and out of physical therapy trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy.  She had different test ran to figuring out what was going on. She just recently learned she had multiple incisional hernias that formed from the original surgery and was scheduled for surgery this past week to fix those. During this time, she had been experiencing fevers and unbearable pain, she thought it was connected to her previous surgery and was just part of her new challenge while healing. The pain and fever had become so severe that it sent her to the ER. That’s when they determined she had leukemia. This all feels so unreal and like a bad dream. Crystal has been through so so much the past year and half. No one should have to endure all the pain and heartache like she and her family has. She has continued fighting daily. She is as strong as she can be during these difficult times. With this being said I would love to help Crystal and her family as much as we can to lessen the burden of any financial stress during treatment and to let them be able to concentrate on Crystal healing process.  With past hospital stay, multiple doctor visits and tests, and now all treatment for the leukemia, medical bills could become overwhelming and that should be the last thing she and her family should be worrying about.  They need to concentrate on her health so please let’s come together as her army and help her out in any way we can. Every little bit can help. Many have contacted her family and friends about a meal train but due to severe peanut allergies, unfortunately that is not an option. One way that would help their family with providing food is gift cards. If you are interested in donating gift cards please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help with allergy friendly options. Please share this and spread the hope for Crystal. If your are unable to help financially at this time, we totally understand but your continued thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and have lifted her spirits. We appreciate everyone for the love and support.
