Hello, my name is Kayla, and I’m raising funds for my best friend and her family after they experienced a sudden and life-threatening emergency during the birth of their second daughter.

On February 1, 2025, at 37 weeks pregnant, Arielle gave birth via emergency cesarean after experiencing severe abdominal pain of unknown origin. During the procedure, doctors discovered a large hematoma in her abdominal wall that had likely been bleeding for an extended period of time. Because of the severity and duration of the bleeding, Arielle required immediate critical care to save her life.

Her newborn daughter, Anastasia, also faced a life-threatening situation. Due to prolonged oxygen deprivation, she needed immediate resuscitation and was diagnosed with moderate hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Anastasia underwent therapeutic cooling in the NICU.
