Helping the Maras Family

Donación protegida
On February 14th, Michael Maras suffered a cerebellar stroke which affected his coordination and small motor skills. He was hospitalized at Alomere in Alexandria, MN for 5 nights and then discharged to a rehabilitation center in Fargo, ND, where he has been since February 19th. It is unknown at this time how long he will need to be there. He is attending speech, occupational, and physical therapy.

Michael works in sales, which requires a lot of phone calls, critical thinking, computer skills….etc. It will take time for him to recover to the full extent that he will be able to do his job again, if at all. The medical bills from the hospital, the rehab facility and all of the after-care follow up stroke appointment, neurologist, physical therapy on top of the regular household expenses, etc…is more than overwhelming to a family that is now living on only 20% of their family income. His employer does not offer short term disability., and the unknown, both physically and financially, has been really difficult for them.

Please consider contributing what you can to help the Maras family in this uncertain time. His wife, Laurie, who is a csr at American Solutions for Business, has so much to deal with right now . . . maybe we can help the financial side be a little less of a burden.
