Helping the Lanoue's Through 2020-2021
Donation protected
Our beloved Lanoue family is unfortunately facing another health crisis.
Vanitha was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)/acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in June 2020, and has been undergoing treatments to help her prepare for a stem cell transplant.
Throughout this treatment plan, there will likely be times she will be in the hospital, need to be isolated, and will call for Matt to be there often, causing him a reduction in work and income. Likewise, Vanitha will be reducing her work schedule.
As we all appreciate Matt and Vanitha, and love their kids, many of you have been asking what you can do to help! Vanitha needs to quarantine even more-so than "normal for the times", but there are a variety of ways to be there for her:
*Donate blood to the Red Cross (Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Vanitha's location for care, uses the Red Cross for procuring blood) (there is a blood shortage right now across the nation)
https://www.redcrossblood.org/
*The Meal Train Vanessa Lesniak is coordinating, more dates to come soon.

*Be The Match stem cell donation: click her personal drive link, order the kit, swab your cheeks - see if you would be a match to donate for Vanitha's stem cell transplant
https://Join.BeTheMatch.org/Fight4Vanitha
OR TEXT Vanitha to 61474
*The goal of this Go Fund Me is to help keep the kids' lives as consistent as possible. For example, continuing hockey, football, taekwondo, and other activities. Additionally, the monies would be used for cleaning/sanitary services, lawn maintenance when Matt cannot, childcare, and other unforeseen expenses that may come up.
