We are coming together to support a great man, Jim Labanca, and the family he loves so deeply during an unimaginable and heartbreaking time. Jim is a devoted husband to Joan, his wife of 31 years, and a proud, loving father to his two daughters, Kristen and Abby, who have been his greatest joy.

After a courageous two year battle with cancer, Jim is now facing a terminal illness and is not expected to be with us much longer. He has met this fight with remarkable strength, grace, and selflessness. Qualities that defined the way he lived his life. Even while battling his own illness, Jim continued to give back, most notably as a Chairman for the Sunshine Kids Cancer Foundation, where he dedicated his time and energy to helping children and families facing the same fight he now endures.

As Joan, Kristen, and Abby prepare for the days ahead, they are facing the devastating reality of saying goodbye to a beloved husband and father far too soon. Along with the immense emotional weight of this loss, they are also facing unexpected financial hardship.

This fundraiser is meant to help ease that burden so the LaBanca family can focus on what truly matters: spending these precious final moments together, honoring Jim’s life without the added stress of financial strain.
