Helping the Jorissen's during a difficult time

The team at Metro Heating & Cooling is showing their support for teammate Mike Jorissen during a difficult time. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Mike, you know what a good man he is.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, Mike was having a lot of trouble eating. After losing weight and a terrible Thanksgiving weekend, he went to the doctor. After tests, the doctor diagnosed Mike with Mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix(cancer). It has spread to other parts of his body and Mike’s medical plans are to begin chemotherapy, in order to shrink the cancer enough so surgery can take place. His first chemotherapy session is this Wednesday the 10th, and he will be treated every other week until April, when he will be reassessed.

Mike has been out of work since December 1st and his family has been balancing taking care of him, as well as trying to keep the household afloat. Mike is the glue that holds his family together and without him being healthy, his family and friends have had to pick up the pieces.

While Mike will be out of work for at least the near future, we are all coming together to help with medical expenses and everyday bills. Any ounce of support will greatly help Mike, his friends, and of course his family.
