Helping with Brian’s cancer expenses

Donation protected
Our family wanted to start this Go Fund Me to ease some of the financial burden for Brian and Jill Hurst. We ask that you pray for Brian, Jill, Donovan, Lauryn, and Jackson. If you feel led to donate, please do so. Any amount and all prayers are appreciated. This money will go towards travel and medical expenses for Brian. Below is a copy of Jill's FB post explaining Brian's diagnosis.

Update...
First, we want to thank everyone for their many prayers for Brian and our family! They mean so much to us!!!
Brian had his PET scan on Monday. The scan showed cancer in the left tonsil mass and 3 lymph nodes. Since it has already spread to the 3 lymph nodes, it did change the plan for treatment. We met with his radiation oncologist on Tuesday. He will have both radiation and chemo. He will have 7 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week. Before he starts radiation, he will have to have a feeding tube placed in his stomach because the radiation will eventually make it to where he can’t eat or drink. He is getting the feeding tube put in this Tuesday., November 9th. We haven’t met with the chemo dr yet, so we don’t know the chemo plan just yet. He will have his radiation planning session on November 17th. We will find out then when the radiation treatments will begin. Please keep those prayers coming!!! ❤️
Alright, our family, friends, and Prayer Warriors...we really need your prayers right now. We found out yesterday that Brian has throat/tonsil cancer. He has been battling a sore, swollen throat since early August. He had been treated for Strep Throat with 3 different rounds of antibiotics, but unfortunately it was far more than strep. After several weeks of worsening, difficulty in swallowing and breathing, he finally let me take him to the ER. They looked in his throat and did a CT scan, which both showed a large mass on his left tonsil. It’s about the size of an egg. He had a biopsy last week and we got the results yesterday. He will have a PET scan on Monday and then we will be notified of his appt with the oncologist. The ENT doctor is hopeful that it can be treated with radiation and no surgery. We will find out more when we see the oncologist. Luckily, Brian is about the most calm, laid back, and positive person I know and I feel that we will be alright thru all of this. With both sides of our families and friends, we have the best support system imaginable! ❤️ I will update when we find out more. We really appreciate all of your prayers that a lot of you have already prayed and the prayers that are continuing for him and our family! We love y’all and keep them coming! And I ask that y’all pray for fear not to take up the hearts of Donovan, Lauryn, and Jackson. ❤️
