On Thursday, October 9, 2025, our beloved friends Scott and Jennifer Hughes lost their home to a devastating fire. In a moment, everything they had built and cherished was gone. Thankfully, by the grace of God, no one was home at the time — not even their sweet cat, Thunder — and everyone is safe.

This home wasn’t just walls and a roof. It was the heart of the Hughes family — the home Scott and Jennifer built with their own hands 23 years ago. It’s where they raised their three amazing children, celebrated countless birthdays, holidays, and milestones, and filled every corner with love and laughter.

If you know the Hughes family, you know they are the kind of people who would give the shirts off their backs to help someone else. They’ve opened their home, their hearts, and their time to so many over the years. Now, it’s our turn to rally around them — to lift them up in the same way they’ve lifted others time and time again.
