The Horne family are pregnant with twins and are ready to welcome two new family members. But the pregnancy has been far from easy. They were diagnosed with velentamous cord insertion, meaning baby girls cord is inserted into her sac instead of her placenta, which caused vasa previa, meaning the vessels between her and Brandi are exposed and laying directly across the opening of her cervix. Brandi was hospitalized on November 17th so she can be continuously monitored to make sure she doesn’t go into labor because that will cause the vessels to rupture, which would more than likely be fatal. Brandi will be there until her c section, which will hopefully be no sooner than 34 weeks. Because of our diagnoses, she has a 97% chance of survival. We are collecting donations to offset the lost wages and other expenses incurred during this lengthy hospitalization.
