Helping the Hoover's Start a Family

Pictured here are 2 of my favorite people: My son Jacob and his beautiful wife, Madison. These two started as friends and after a short time, they fell in love. Jacob proposed to Maddie in October of 2020 and set a date to be married in October of 2021.

What continues to be a beautiful journey has been marked with trials and struggles.

For many years Maddie has been treated for endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. Her doctors have tried many medications, surgery, and wholistic remedies. They have worked hard to relieve her pain, but ultimately, their goal has been to keep Maddie healthy to where she could one day have children. Nothing seems to be working.

In February 2021, in the midst of wedding planning, apartment hunting, working and saving, Jacob and Maddie received some concerning news. Maddie’s doctor informed her things were getting worse and if she ever planned on having children, she needed to act now. After some family meetings, prayer and a few phone calls- Jacob and Maddie moved their wedding up a few months and were married in May of 2021.

After just a few short months of marriage, Jacob and Maddie were excited to meet with their fertility specialist a few days ago. Unfortunately, they received a heartbreaking diagnosis. The doctor told Jacob and Maddie there was 0% chance they would have children on their own and she was now being diagnosed as infertile. They are devastated but hopeful.

There is one opportunity for this couple to conceive a child and it is through IVF. Because of the severity of Maddie’s condition, the IVF must be started ASAP for them to have a fighting chance. The health insurance they are currently enrolled in does not cover IVF and the enrollment period for alternative insurance is pretty far down the road.

Praise the Lord, Jacob and Maddie have been saving and investing for over a year. However, with their entire savings and selling of investments it does not come close to the very extravagant price tag of paying out of pocket for IVF.

However, we serve a Good God and I am confident He has a plan! So I come to you, my family, friends, acquaintances and anyone else who hears their story and feels led, to give any amount toward their goal. Pray for these 2 incredible people! I’m excited to see how God is going to work through their struggle!
