As you all know everyone in Greenville is struggling. The Hitsons are no different. As the Dixie Fire ripped through Greenville, it took everything Gerald and Monica both have worked so hard for. Monica was born and raised in Greenville and Gerald moved to Greenville over 25 years ago. They have three wonderful children that are struggling to cope and grasp the severity of this situation. Monica and Gerald have always opened their doors to anyone who was in need. Myself including have moved ‘home’ many times. Both of them being active members in town and the kids sports through GHS, I’m hoping everyone can help each other even if it’s just a little bit so the Hitsons can return and rebuild in Indian Valley. We’ve been fortunate enough to find them a house temporarily and I’m asking for help for help with deposit, first months rent and essentials. As you all know the housing market is ridiculous and even more so in the North Bay. The devastation and heartbreak is real.
